Ideal Boilers - Important Product Safety Notice

Ideal Boilers have identified a potential issue with a number of their boilers.
In a small proportion of the affected range of boilers (approximately 1 in 10,000), if an excessive volume of air has become trapped inside the main heat exchanger component in a fault condition, it could cause the boiler to overheat and fail.

What products are affected?

Ideal Boilers are committed to ensuring the quality, reliability and the safety of our products. For this reason, we will be applying a safety upgrade to boilers manufactured between 22 August 2022 and 7 January 2024 across the following ranges:

• Logic Combi2
• Logic System2
• Logic + Combi2
• Logic + System2
• Logic Max Combi2
• Logic Max System2
• Independent Combi2
• Keston Combi2
• Keston System2

Any other Ideal boilers are not affected. Boilers in current production are also not affected by this issue.
Where the above boilers have been registered with Ideal, they are directly contacting end users with an affected boiler to advise them that they will require a heating engineer to visit their home.

Customers are being asked to visit www.idealsupport.co.uk and register their details to enable Ideal to arrange an engineer visit, or call them free of charge on 0808 175 9173. Homeowners and tenants can also check if their boiler is affected by using the serial number tool, also found at www.idealsupport.co.uk.

Customers can continue to use their boiler. However, Ideal are advising to repressurise it. Simple instructions for how to do this can be found at www.idealsupport.co.uk.

As a merchant partner, Drakes Plumbing Supplies will be checking all existing stock within our branch network for affected boilers.

Many thanks
