Invisible warmth
As the floor is used as the heating element, underfloor heating maximises wall space providing a clean unspoilt look to the room and maximising interior design options. This provides architects and designers important wall space in kitchens and living rooms and maximises access in hallways in compliance with DOC M regulations.
Safe & clean
The floor surface temperature used in underfloor heating applications is generally 25°C to 27°C, lower than body temperature, eliminating the risk of burns to children and elderly residents. The heat transfer of Underfloor central heating is mainly radiant and therefore does not rely on air movement to transfer heat. The circulation of airborne dust is therefore minimised lowering the likelihood of allergic respiratory reactions.
Ideal comfort conditions
Research has shown that Ideal comfort levels are achieved when feet are a few degrees warmer than the head, exactly heat profile an underfloor heating application produces, whereas radiator systems produce an opposite profile. Even heat distribution across the entire floor area ensures that there are no cold spots in rooms.
Low maintenance and running cost
Maintenance of underfloor systems is minimal as the heat element will not corrode or scale, the only metal components being quality DZR brassware and stainless steel. As underfloor systems operate with flow a temperature of around 50°C, the use of condensing boilers can deliver boiler efficiencies of up to 98%.
