Technical InformationThe complete solar packages from Kingspan Solar incorporate either Thermomax vacuum tube solar thermal collectors (available in two versions – HP200 and DF100) or Kingspan Solar flat plate solar panels (available for ‘In-roof’ and ‘On-roof’ installations). Solar panels from Kingspan Solar are suitable for ‘in-roof’ and ‘on-roof’ installation. ‘In-roof’ installation comprises the solar panel, which is encased in a cassette unit that is mounted directly onto the roof battens and tiled into the roof for weather tight installation, maintaining the integrity of the roof. In ‘on-roof’ installation the solar panel is mounted on top of the existing roof tiles, on brackets that penetrate through the roof and are bolted to the rafters to ensure secure fixing. Flat plate panels feature 10-year performance guarantee and offer a straightforward solar thermal solution perfect for the needs of UK homes. The Thermomax range consists of two evacuated tube collectors (HP200 and DF100). The vacuum inside each tube provides perfect insulation by protecting the system from outside influences, such as cold, wet or windy weather, ensuring top quality performance all-year-round. They also allow energy from the sun to be collected efficiently and effectively, so that solar-heated water can be delivered in record time. The collectors are up to 30% more effective than traditional flat panel equivalents. They are also fast and simple to install due to their unique ‘plug and play’ design and are perfect for flexible building integration, allowing for installations on sloping roofs, flat roofs or façades. |
